Your Role
As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our shipping operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in all documentation including Bills of Lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Coordinate with 3PL carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and delays by communicating effectively with customers and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP software.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards during loading and unloading processes.
- Train and mentor junior warehouse staff on proper shipping procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination role.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
