Your Role & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of shipping operations. Your daily tasks will include tracking shipments, communicating with carriers, and resolving logistical issues to prevent delays.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and Commercial Invoices.
- Track shipment status in real-time and proactively resolve any delays or disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage expectations.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and inventory movements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shipping terms, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
