Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipping activities, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report findings immediately.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and databases using logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or proprietary systems).
- Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve shipping issues.
- Manage inventory levels related to shipping and coordinate with the warehouse team for efficient load planning.
- Track shipments in real-time and provide customers with delivery updates and proof of delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of freight terminology, shipping regulations, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
