Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal routing.
- Prepare and process accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Track incoming and outgoing freight in real-time to resolve delays or logistical issues proactively.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal clients to ensure alignment.
- Manage inventory levels related to outbound logistics and coordinate stock replenishment as needed.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements.
- Assist in the training of junior staff and streamline warehouse workflow processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or warehousing.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records under tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
