Responsibilities
- Coordinate Shipping Operations: Manage the scheduling and dispatching of freight, ensuring all shipments meet delivery deadlines.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Carrier Communication: Liaise with carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight companies, to resolve transit issues and optimize routes.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock allocation for outgoing shipments.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays promptly.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate records in our logistics management software and prepare weekly reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations, Incoterms, and freight class codes is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with carriers.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
- Location: Must be willing to work in our San Antonio, TX facility.
