Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound freight shipments to guarantee on-time delivery.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Manage inventory levels and update the Transportation Management System (TMS) in real-time.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistical challenges and delays.
- Negotiate rates and identify cost-saving opportunities with third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve shipment damages, claims, and freight discrepancies efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding role.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., HighJump, Manhattan, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, freight terminology, and customs regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
- A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
