Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure safety compliance and proper functioning of all mechanical parts.
- Organize and stack merchandise in designated storage areas to optimize space and prevent damage.
- Verify and record inventory counts accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the night shift team to ensure timely processing of shipments and orders.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with high energy and focus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners or inventory software.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License (preferred but not always required).
