Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Ensure the safe and secure handling of freight to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and tagging pallets according to company standards.
- Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Keep the warehouse floor organized and free of debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize material flow and meet daily production targets.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA compliant) with a valid license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
