Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, including Counterbalance and Reach Trucks, to move materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload freight from trucks, railcars, and shipping containers with speed and accuracy.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
- Keep the warehouse organized and ensure adherence to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and ensure on-time delivery of orders.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Forklift Operator Certification (or willingness to undergo training).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
