Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate counting and stocking of goods, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload trucks with precision, ensuring cargo is secured and undamaged during transit.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets and workflow goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and handling procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Class A or B Forklift Operator Certification required (proof of certification must be provided).
- Experience: Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently. Good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliability: Strong track record of attendance and punctuality.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
