Responsibilities
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, including Reach Trucks, Forklifts, and Pallet Jacks, to move, locate, or relocate materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and trucks safely, adhering to weight limits and securement procedures.
- Perform daily inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Inspect forklift equipment for any mechanical issues or damage and report them to management immediately.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator license (OSHA compliant) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and paperwork accuracy.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Valid Driver’s License is preferred but not always required.
