Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move products within the facility and to shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Organize, stack, and tag merchandise according to inventory control standards and warehouse management systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all aisles are clear and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team leads and inventory specialists to ensure accurate stock counts and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
