Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (PIT) in a safe and efficient manner to load, unload, and move materials.
- Inspect forklifts daily before operation to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
- Verify inventory accuracy by counting stock and ensuring all items are properly tagged and stored.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and warehouse safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient warehouse flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and organizing the dock area.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (e.g., Reach Truck, Counterbalance, Order Picker).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
