Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to load, unload, move, and stack materials in warehouses and yards.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and record stock using scanners and computer systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist in the receiving and shipping process by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and operating machinery.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
