Job Overview:
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and handled with precision and safety. You will be the face of our efficiency, working directly with our inventory management team.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Manually operate powered industrial trucks (reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and traffic rules to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
- Inventory Management: Assist in counting stock and completing reports to ensure accuracy of inventory levels and location tracking.
- Material Handling: Sort, grade, and pile products in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the forklift to identify potential mechanical issues before operation.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator license (OSHA 10/30 preferred or state certification).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate machinery in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Reliability: Must have a consistent work history and be available for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
