Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move goods within the facility.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks and containers in strict adherence to safety protocols and time schedules.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and ensuring stock levels are correct.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of obstructions to ensure efficient workflow.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage during transit and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (CFP or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling inventory.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
