Responsibilities
- Pick and Pack: Retrieve merchandise from storage shelves using scanners and pick tickets to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Packaging: Pack items securely in boxes, ensuring proper cushioning and labeling with correct shipping information.
- Quality Control: Inspect orders for completeness and accuracy before they are prepared for shipment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (certification preferred).
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by counting stock and reporting discrepancies.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift for long periods (8-10 hours a day) with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on tasks and ensure accuracy in data entry and picking.
- Basic Math Skills: Proficiency with basic arithmetic to calculate weights, measurements, and shipping costs.
- Computer Literacy: Basic experience using handheld scanners or computer systems is a plus.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable form of transportation and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
