Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments across air, ocean, and ground freight
- Optimize route planning and carrier negotiations to reduce costs
- Manage customs documentation and compliance for cross-border shipments
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and proactively resolve delays
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for timely order fulfillment and loading
- Analyze shipping KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as primary contact for clients regarding shipment status and exceptions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in freight coordination or logistics management
- Expertise in customs regulations (FDA, USDA, EPA) and INCOTERMS
- Proficiency in TMS software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Certification in logistics (CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM) preferred
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and work flexible hours including weekends
