Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and company standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and accuracy before processing.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and reach trucks as required by certification.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and shift supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform heavy physical labor in varying temperatures.
- Equipment: Current forklift certification is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance in fast-paced settings.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise.
