Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damages before processing.
- Picking & Packing: Efficiently pick orders using handheld scanners and pack items securely for shipment to ensure zero damage claims.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and cycle counting procedures.
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Load & Unload: Load and unload trucks utilizing proper safety techniques, including using dock plates and tie-downs.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Adhere to all company SOPs regarding safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for yard truck operation).
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required by business needs.
