Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight onto and off of trailers, racks, and conveyor belts using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Pick and Pack: Accurately pick and pack customer orders to meet daily production quotas and quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and maintaining accurate inventory records using handheld scanners.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks, in strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure all outgoing shipments meet company quality specifications.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and fellow employees to optimize workflow and solve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Attitude: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- License: Valid driver's license (not always required, but preferred for warehouse roles).
