Responsibilities
- Select and retrieve merchandise from the warehouse floor using handheld scanners and pick lists to fulfill customer orders with 99.9% accuracy.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape) to ensure safe delivery.
- Operate warehouse machinery, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided upon hire).
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize picking routes and improve overall warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
- Current forklift certification is a plus but not required.
