Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to ensure accurate stock placement.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of safety hazards to comply with OSHA standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify quantities against packing slips.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on handling equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus, but we provide training for motivated candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be able to work in various weather conditions if working in a dock door environment.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners or RF guns.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
