Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload inbound and outbound freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, accurately checking quantities and identifying damaged goods.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Equipment Handling: Operate warehouse machinery (RF scanners, pallet jacks) to ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine inspections of packages to ensure they meet quality standards before shipping.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and inventory control to resolve discrepancies quickly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and inspecting packages.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- License: Valid driver's license (for warehouse vehicle operation) and ability to pass a background check.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
