Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Goods: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and log incoming and outgoing merchandise into the inventory management system.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required to move heavy materials throughout the warehouse.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage during transit and report any discrepancies or damages immediately to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Organization: Maintain a neat, organized, and clean workspace, ensuring aisles are clear and storage areas are accessible.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly, and walk on various surfaces.
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Equipment Certification: Valid forklift or pallet jack certification is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance with a strong work ethic.
