Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload freight trucks and delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Packaging: Properly pack, label, and secure merchandise to prevent damage during transit.
- Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and stock organization within the warehouse.
- Material Handling: Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks to move materials around the facility.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality before processing.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- License: Valid driver's license is required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Equipment: Willingness to learn and operate basic warehouse machinery and handheld scanners.
