Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing merchandise against packing slips and ensure accurate counts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workspace.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including shipping logs and damage reports, accurately and timely.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shift supervisors and team members to ensure operational goals are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if necessary.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Tools: Familiarity with warehouse machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
