Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) ensuring product integrity.
- Inventory Organization: Sort, stock, and organize inventory in the warehouse to ensure accurate stock levels and easy retrieval.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly package items for shipment, ensuring all labels and barcodes are accurate and legible.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections on loading equipment and report any malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Quality Control: Perform spot checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- License: Valid driver’s license (Class C) is required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail to prevent shipping errors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts including overtime and weekends.
