Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload shipments onto and off of trucks, freight cars, and conveyors using appropriate equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify incoming and outgoing merchandise against bills of lading, invoices, and other records to ensure accuracy.
- Product Preparation: Pack, seal, and label products securely for transport, ensuring all safety standards are met.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by sweeping, mopping, and organizing pallets.
- Equipment Handling: Inspect and perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and verifying shipment details.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is a plus but not always required.
- Reliability: A history of punctual attendance and dependability.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (Class C) preferred.
