Responsibilities
- Safely Load and Unload: Load and unload merchandise from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers while adhering to safety protocols and weight limits.
- Verify Inventory: Cross-check packing lists and purchase orders to ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing stock.
- Operate Equipment: Utilize pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks to move heavy materials efficiently.
- Maintain Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow OSHA regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with inventory clerks and other team members to meet daily shipping targets.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic Skills: Good reading and writing skills for documenting inventory; basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- License: Valid driver's license (Class C) preferred for warehouse vehicle operation.
