Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and high-performance work culture.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies to prevent shrinkage and loss.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to optimize workflow and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper care and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports, including performance metrics and productivity data.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan). Strong knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of warehouse associates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10/30 training preferred.
