Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders while maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Load Preparation: Inspect loads for stability and secure them properly for transport to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to streamline workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Possess a valid forklift operator certification (CDL Class B preferred but not always required for standard forklift work).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read labels, tickets, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
