Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage and supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring workflows are efficient and orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment while maintaining high morale.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a hazard-free workplace for all employees and visitors.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, oversee cycle counts, and coordinate with purchasing to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are maintained in good working condition.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) and computer systems (ERP).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead team meetings effectively.
