Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory
- Lead and mentor a team of 15+ warehouse staff, ensuring performance standards are met
- Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and efficiency
- Manage inventory control systems, conducting regular audits and resolving discrepancies
- Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure timely shipments and deliveries
- Generate performance reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer service goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with proven team development and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software
- Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, during peak seasons
- Knowledge of DC-area logistics regulations and transportation networks
