Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily receiving, storage, and distribution operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and schedule a diverse team of warehouse staff to maximize productivity and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflows and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues and communicate effectively with upper management and other departments.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Licensure: Valid forklift operator certification and OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Attributes: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
