Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure 100% accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Management: Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages productivity and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and manage stock discrepancies to prevent loss and waste.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement solutions to optimize warehouse layout and operational procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B) and OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead briefings and write clear reports.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions.
