Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management, ensuring targets are met efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a zero-accident work environment.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, mentor, and schedule warehouse staff to maximize productivity and team morale.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage stock discrepancies to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflow and implement innovative solutions to optimize operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure forklifts and warehouse machinery are inspected and maintained in good working order.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics supervision.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and driving performance metrics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
