Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct and supervise a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high productivity, safety compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of inventory. Conduct regular cycle counts and manage inventory discrepancies.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor daily workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to optimize throughput and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and coordinate the maintenance of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Staff Development: Recruit, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Forklift License) and OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld RF scanners.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management and cross-functional teams.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
