Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict OSHA safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a zero-accident workplace environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage cycle counts, and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and maximize accuracy.
- Process Optimization: Analyze workflow processes and implement lean methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems.
- Reporting: Generate and present daily/weekly operational reports to upper management regarding productivity and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory software.
- Licensure: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead briefings effectively.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues under pressure.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions.
