Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage stock discrepancies to optimize storage space and reduce waste.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all forklifts and material handling equipment are properly maintained and operational.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory control procedures.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and operate material handling equipment (Forklift Certified preferred).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure to resolve operational issues.
