Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping inventory to ensure 100% accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety and productivity.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage cycle counts, and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator certification is highly desirable.
