Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock checks, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately and efficiently to meet strict shipping deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse machinery immediately to the maintenance team.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shift supervisors and team members to ensure seamless workflow operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and potentially overtime hours.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
- License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
