Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders using handheld scanners and RF devices to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and equipment inspection.
- Material Handling: Stack and organize pallets according to company protocols, ensuring warehouse space is utilized effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy warehouse equipment (reach trucks, forklifts).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and navigate a busy warehouse environment.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
