Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move palletized goods in warehouse setting
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and basic maintenance troubleshooting
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company material handling protocols
- Coordinate with team members to optimize loading/unloading efficiency
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Operate pallet jacks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year recent forklift experience in warehouse/distribution environment
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to zero-incident safety culture
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6 AM - 6 PM) with potential overtime
