Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage products according to customer orders and inventory control systems.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move stock within the facility.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and maintain the integrity of the cold storage environment (temperatures below 35°F) while working.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Stock Organization: Keep storage areas organized, clean, and efficient to facilitate quick retrieval.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload trucks and trailers using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and work in extreme cold conditions.
- Valid License: Possession of a valid Driver’s License and a forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Communication: Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
