Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in sub-zero (-10°F to 40°F) environments
- Monitor and maintain precise temperature/humidity controls for perishable goods
- Execute inventory counts and cycle checks using warehouse management systems
- Inspect, pack, and label products according to FDA and USDA standards
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and safety equipment
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols in climate-controlled zones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless logistics operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme temperatures
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends
