Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products into and out of the freezer and cooler sections.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and record stock using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and maintain strict temperature logs to ensure compliance with food safety and product integrity standards.
- Packing & Labeling: Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling to prevent damage during transit.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in all warehouse zones, including high-traffic aisles and loading docks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for long periods in cold environments (temperatures ranging from 10°F to 40°F).
- Reliability: A strong work history with a focus on punctuality and attendance.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics environment is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain high accuracy in data entry and inventory counts.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
