Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload merchandise onto and from delivery trucks and storage racks using appropriate equipment.
- Inventory Verification: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and packing lists to ensure accuracy.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery (training provided).
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Stock Management: Assist in stock organization, tagging, and inventory counts as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training is available.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory counting; strong attention to detail.
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well in a team setting.
