Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and warehouse racks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, verify incoming inventory against purchase orders, and organize stock to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Temperature Control: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols when working in our walk-in freezers and coolers (40°F).
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet shipping deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance checks on warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift in cold environments.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and processing orders.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a history of consistent work attendance.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Documentation: Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and safety documentation.
