Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move stock and materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper handling of cold storage products and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Perform daily quality checks on stored items to prevent spoilage or damage.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse operations and meet daily productivity targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in extreme cold environments (typically 35°F or lower) and perform duties without compromising safety.
